- Tranquil monastery

This monastery was built in 1952 and it is the largest Taoist monastery within the district.
The monastery comprises some halls and altars.
Each of them is dedicated to different Taoist deities.


 


In this monastery, there is also a Chinese landscaped garden.
Strolling around the garden, visitors will see some waterfalls and ponds.
The tranquil environment makes it as a perfect place for meditation.


 


Besides, inside the monastery, there are also some professional soothsayers.
They help visitors to divine their future, such as family, marriage and career, and charge a fee for every transaction.


 


This monastery is called "Shang Sin Chun Tong".
To reach this place, exit off Kowloon Tong MTR Station Exit D.
Then, walk along To Fuk Road to get to Rutland Quadrant, and then the monastery.
The walks take about 4 minutes.
